Views South from Monte Grappa
The countryside of the Venetian Republic is full of largely undiscovered cycling treasures. Its lower elevations and sunny climate make it a perfect destination for early spring training or fall touring. Our trip starts in the heart of the Veneto in the medieval city of Verona. Sitting on the Adige river valley, Verona is surrounded on three sides by knobby hills covered in vineyards. Our trip loops north along Lake Garda over Monte Bondone over high forested plateaus to the Prosecco wine roads.
The Rides. Although it’s not the Alps, this trip features demanding rolling terrain with a few days of intense climbing. The rides are designed for avid cyclists who enjoy challenging rides on quiet scenic roads while indulging in a bit of Italian culture. We’ll stop along the way for refueling on Italian espressos, lunch and, of course, Italian gelato!
The Ride Strong Style.
The tour is designed with an obsessive tendency towards the most well-designed routes, multiple nights in one-of-a-kind hotels, authentic cuisine and, yes, loads of riding. We’ll operate our tour similar to our signature tours with knowledgeable local guides, cycling roughly 45-70 miles/day, eating well and sleeping even better! This is a guided, supported and well-designed trip, however, we can’t push your pedals. To enjoy this tour you should be a cyclist capable of riding the daily distances on undulating terrain.
