From the balmy beaches of the Mediterranean to the highest pass in France, our Mediterranean-to-Mountains Tour is the quintessential sea-to-sky ride. Loosely following Napoleon Bonaparte’s escape from Elba, the route enjoys a diversity of landscapes and history and, arguably, the most spectacular cycling in the south of France. From the coastal paths of the Cote d’Azur we ride into the wonderfully remote Maritime Alps and Mercantour National Park. We’ll spend three nights pampered by our friendly hosts in our ‘hotel de charme’. It’s here the natural playground of the Ubaye Valley unfolds with unbelieveable loop rides just outside our front door. Most famous, perhaps, is the Ubaye brevet. A control card is given to those who dare to summit all 7 cols surrounding the Ubaye. (St. Anne, Col de Pontis, Col de St. Jean, Col de Cayolle, Col d’Allos, Col de Larche and Col de la Bonette – over 26,000 feet of climbing).

Enjoy one rider’s trip photos from our Mediterranean Alps tour or the youtube video capturing a little of the stunning and diverse scenery.
