Guided & Deluxe Bike Tours in Northern Spain’s Gems!
Once the forgotten country of the European continent, Spain has emerged as one of the top rated destinations for travel, food and incredible hotels. Extending south-west of France, almost an island all its own, Spain is a sharp mix of the old and new. In rural areas, the old slow world rules with annual festivals and folklore, an obsession with ham, afternoon siestas and sleepy medieval villages. In cities such as Barcelona, a new world emerges with chic boutique hotels, world-class architecture and some of the most creative cuisine in the world. Ubiquitous throughout, the people of Spain maintain an unpretentious charm that welcomes the visitor and embraces the cyclist.
Our very first cycling trip was in Spain and we haven’t looked back since. We fell in love with the medieval villages, warm sun, end of ride tapas and unpretentious people greeting you with a wide smile and loud ‘Hola!’. We also enjoyed the surprisingly smooth road surfaces and host of hilly challenges -the Pyrenees in the north, the Sierra Nevada’s in the south, and surrounded on almost all perimeters by stunning coastal riding. To make the most of cycling in Spain we focus on its gems, the Basque country, La Rioja wine region, Girona and Costa Brava – where we can ride scenic country roads with hilly challenges every day, followed by great food and some of the best boutique hotels to retire to at night.
All of our tours can be customized for a particular group of friends or family, with more or less luxury, different distances and/or pitches and your specific dates. Please send us an email or call us at 858-945-5192 if you’re interested in a custom cycling tour in Spain. In many regions, cycling can be done year around.
